Are You Guerrilla Lawfare?Have you ever wondered why the United States of America is called “the land of the free and the home of the brave?” The two go hand-in-hand. It takes brave people to keep our nation “free.” Brave Americans past and present have fought and even died for our freedoms. Whether you are an active duty member of our military, or a mom who sticks up for your child’s rights in school, you are a freedom-fighter, and you ARE Guerrilla Lawfare. Many of us take for granted our freedoms because we may have never experienced “tyranny.” That is what drove our founding fathers to defy King George. When they signed the Declaration of Independence, they risked their lives, their family’s lives, and their sacred honor. From that struggle arose a world-leading nation. This nation is no longer ruled by any “King.” Rather, we are a nation of laws of the people by the people and for the people. In the U.S. citizens, residents, and guests have rights. But often we don’t know how to use them. This lack of knowledge makes us vulnerable on many fronts, particularly where there is a power struggle between government and citizen. Guerrilla Lawfare is a tool to empower ordinary citizens to understand and exercise those rights. You say you’re a law abiding citizen that has nothing to worry about? Think again. There are so many laws in existence today, that unknowingly, you could be breaking one right now. Societies need rules, and laws, and law enforcers. A peace officer who responds to a 9-11 call is much appreciated by a law-abiding citizen that needs help. But let’s get real. How often are your encounters with government officials pleasant? Are they serving you? If your gut says “no,” chances are your rights are being violated. Take your teen to a traffic court and observe. Ask yourself: Is what we’re witnessing justice? Is it taxation? Or is it extortion? There are techniques that are proven to improve our daily freedoms. These techniques are simple, peaceful, safe, and highly effective. These techniques are so basic that often even lawyers don’t think about them. Why? Because it’s one thing to go to law school to learn how to defend a suspect. But it’s a completely different thing to know how to avoid getting into trouble in the first place. This basic knowledge IS…. Guerrilla Lawfare. This website is a place for activists to teach others about the nuts-and-bolts of our civil rights. These activists are…. Guerrilla Lawfare. If you have ever challenged a traffic citation on principle, you ARE Guerrilla Lawfare. If you have ever taken an issue to a City Council meeting, you ARE Guerrilla Lawfare. If you got involved and made a difference at a PTA meeting, you ARE Guerrilla Lawfare. You don’t have to have a degree to be Guerrilla Lawfare. All you have to be is a person willing to study, understand, and exercise your rights. Guerrilla Lawfare is the essence of grassroots activism. Activists are a passionate, diverse people. If their ideals are aligned with our Constitution, they ARE Guerrilla Lawfare. For some, activism prompts life-altering changes. Some will further their education to become paralegals and lawyers who defend more broadly against injustice; others run for office. They ARE Guerrilla Lawfare and they ARE among us. All of these activists have learned techniques to keep themselves and their families safe from bullies. They are empowered with knowledge. Whether you’re defending your pet at a dog park or defending yourself in federal court; the power you acquire by knowing and exercising your rights has the potential to positively transform every aspect of your life and that of future generations. Our definition of a Guerrilla Lawfare activist is a person who chooses to know and exercise his or her rights. We’ve had those rights all along. They are unalienable rights endowed to us by our Creator. More than two centuries ago, they were guaranteed to us in writing by our Founding Fathers. That document is the United States Constitution. We base all of our civil rights education on this document. And we consider our founding fathers to be the original and ultra …. GUERRILLA LAWFARE! |
